The Last Survivor is an endurance race in a backyard format held at the Masía de Castelló, in Tarragona. It proposes a loop of around 5 km and approximately 200 metres of elevation gain that must be completed in under 1 hour. Every hour a new start is given: anyone who does not make it in time or crosses in last position is eliminated, until only one runner remains, able to complete the lap alone. The course combines physical challenge and effort management, with mountainous terrain designed to keep the tension going lap after lap. The start is usually made at dusk, which adds a strategic element to this long-distance test. It is a pure endurance event, where consistency, control of pace and the ability to recover between batches make the difference in a mountain setting in the interior of Tarragona.
