Canón do Sil “A Decana”

The Canón do Sil “A Decana” will celebrate its 19th edition on 18 October 2026 in Parada de Sil, Ourense. The event is listed as the sixth race in the Copa Xunta de Galicia of mountain running and will have the Praza do Barquilleiro as its reference point. The event is linked to the Clube de Montaña Ribeira Sacra and retains its character as a mountain race in the surroundings of the Cañón del Sil. The published competitive programme includes three adult routes: one option of 33 km and 2,220 m of elevation gain, another of 17 km and 950 m+, and a short distance of 7 km with 370 m+. All three formats will be held on the same day and are included in the 2026 Superliga Galega de Trail e CxM calendar.
