CXM Vista Alegre – Sierra Gorda

The Club Vista Alegre Trail organised the VIII CXM Vista Alegre – Sierra Gorda on 11 January 2026, with the start and finish at the Colegio Público Carthago de Vista Alegre, in Cartagena. The event had the support of the Town Council of Cartagena, the Sports Department and the Mountain Federation of the Region of Murcia, and its proceeds were donated to the Fundación Dr. Pérez Pallarés through the Respira la Vida project. The adult programme included a Half Marathon of 21 km and 600 m elevation gain, a Promo of 12 km and 285 m elevation gain, and a non-competitive hiking proposal of 8 km and 185 m elevation gain. The routes ran along authorised tracks and paths in the surroundings of Media Legua, Barranco de Orfeo, Sierra Gorda, La Parreta and the vicinity of Vista Alegre.
