Desafío Cucón

The IV Desafío Cucón will take place on 18 October 2026 in Fuencaliente, Ciudad Real, through the Montes de Fuencaliente. The event offers the chance to run through places such as the Bañuela peak, Lastras, la Batanera and Peña Escrita, combining sport, nature and heritage in a mountain setting in Sierra Morena. The adult programme brings together the Desafío Cucón, 29 km and 1,400 m of elevation gain, and the Mini Desafío, 13 km and 500 m of elevation gain. It also includes two non-competitive walking options: one of 13 km with 500 m of elevation gain and another of 7.5 km. The organisers state that there will be several start times and that entries close on 14 October.
