Gran Trail de Peñalara

The 16th edition of the Gran Trail de Peñalara will take place from 9 to 11 October 2026 in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Organised by the Real Sociedad Española de Alpinismo Peñalara, it brings together three individual mountain events: the GTP, 104 km and 5,100 m of elevation gain; the Trail Peñalara TP60, 61 km and 2,700 m of elevation gain; and the Cross Nocturno de Navacerrada, 11 km and 400 m of elevation gain. The GTP will depart from Navacerrada at night on Friday 9 October, while the TP60 will set off from Miraflores de la Sierra on Sunday 11. The Cross Nocturno de Navacerrada will open the programme on Friday afternoon from Navacerrada. The routes run along paths and places in the Sierra de Guadarrama, with proposals for ultra distance, long distance and a more accessible night race.
