Kaxtrail Mendi Lasterketa

Kaxtrail Mendi Lasterketa will take place on 24 October 2026 in Erratzu, a town in Navarre in the Baztan Valley. The mountain event was created as a tribute to Xabier Rekarte «Kaxtel», 10 years after his passing, and is driven through auzolan by residents of the town. The organisers set the start at 08:00 and keep entries open until 21 October. The programme announces an individual race, a two-participant relay proposal and a mountain walk. The individual race has 45 kilometres and 2,800 metres of elevation gain according to the regulations; registration keeps the 42K label and a published price of 50 euros. In addition to the sporting element, the day includes cultural, musical and gastronomic activities in Erratzu, with the aim of bringing runners, companions and local residents together around the mountain and the memory of Kaxtel.
