Penyagolosa Trails celebrates its 2027 edition on 24 April, the same day and month on which the start was given for the first Marató i Mitja in 1999. The event follows the paths that link Castelló de la Plana with the sanctuary of Sant Joan de Penyagolosa, crossing on foot much of the province of Castellón from the coast to the mountains. The event brings together two distances: the MiM (Marató i Mitja), which reaches its 28th edition with 60 kilometres, and the CSP, which arrives at its 15th edition with 106 kilometres. Places are allocated through pre-registration and a subsequent draw for bib numbers, and each participant must submit a medical report stating that there is no contraindication for mountain ultradistance races before 1 March 2027.
