The 17th edition of Els Cinc Cims is a non-competitive, demanding endurance walk, with passage over five mandatory summits and a limit of 14 hours. The 52.2 km route accumulates significant elevation gain, so it is designed for very experienced walkers who can maintain a steady pace between 3.75 and 7 km/h. The start and finish are in Castellar del Vallès, within the FEEC’s Circuit Català de Caminades de Resistència. The route runs through mountain and towns such as Sant Llorenç Savall and Gallifa, with 8 refreshment stations and 5 checkpoints; the organisers warn that bad weather does not prevent the event, although it may be altered or suspended if necessary.
