Trail de la Castaña

The Trail de la Castaña celebrated its 5th edition on 18 October 2025 in Sorbeda del Sil, a hamlet of the municipality of Páramo del Sil, in León. The event was organised by Club de Montaña La Bóveda in collaboration with the Federación de Deportes de Montaña, Escalada y Senderismo de Castilla y León, and hosted the Campeonato de Castilla y León de Carreras por Montaña in Línea de Corta Distancia. The programme brought together three adult options with start and finish in Sorbeda del Sil: the Trail, the Speed Trail and the Andarina walk. The main route ran mostly along roads, forest tracks and paths, with technical sections, a steep-pitched oak grove and the final climb towards the aerials. The day combined mountain competition, hiking participation and the characteristic autumn local atmosphere of Alto Sil.
