Transvulcania

Transvulcania celebrates its 17th edition on 8 May 2027 in La Palma. Its Ultramarathon covers 73 kilometres with 4,259 metres of elevation gain from the Faro de Fuencaliente to Los Llanos de Aridane, along the GR 131 and GR 130 trails, crossing the Ruta de los Volcanes and climbing to Roque de los Muchachos, the highest point on the island, over the Natural Park of the Caldera de Taburiente. The Maratón links the Refugio de El Pilar with the Puerto de Tazacorte over 43 kilometres and the Half Marathon runs from Fuencaliente to El Pilar over 24 kilometres. On 6 May, the Kilómetro Vertical climbs 1,160 metres from Tazacorte to the Torre de El Time. The 12K Light is launched as a circular route from El Pilar for 55 euros. The programme is completed by the Kids-Junior and the inclusive formats Joëlette and Desafío.
