Zumaia Flysch Trail

The Zumaia Flysch Trail will celebrate its 2026 edition on 3 October in Zumaia, Gipuzkoa. The start and finish will be located in Eusebio Gurrutxaga Square, and the event will run along the Basque Coast–UNESCO World Geopark, a protected area. The organisers expect a maximum combined total of 650 participants across the two competitive formats. The programme includes the Zumaia Flysch Trail, 24 km with 1,007 m of elevation gain, with a start at 09:30, and the Zumaia Flysch Trail laburra, 14 km and 487 m, which will begin at 10:00. Entries cost a standard 30 € for the long distance and 20 € for the short; the regulations set the closing date as 18 September 2026 if the places are not filled beforehand.
