Axari Trail

Axari Trail is a mountain race organised as a memorial to Mikel Garmendia. The 13th edition will take place on 13 September 2026 in Idiazabal, with start and finish at 09:30 in the town square. The route runs through the hills of Idiazabal, between the Natural Parks of Aralar and Aizkorri-Aratz. The event offers adults two routes: Axari Trail, 25.4 km and 1,550 m of elevation gain, and Axari Trail Txiki, 16.4 km and 758 m of elevation gain. Both formats have a fee of 27 euros, with entries exclusively online from 19 May to 10 September 2026.
