Backyard Ultra Curillas

The II Backyard Ultra Curillas will take place on 3 and 4 October 2026 in Curillas, a locality in the municipality of Valderrey, in the province of León. The Asociación Deportiva El Último Arriero organises this ultradistance event together with the Town Council of Valderrey and the Curillas Neighbours’ Association. The Backyard format involves a joint start at the beginning of each hour and continues until only one person manages to complete one more lap than the rest. The adult category covers a loop of 6 kilometres, obtained by truncating the 6,706 km published by the organisers, with approximately 90 metres of elevation gain per lap. The route combines streets in the locality, roads, tracks and paths, with the start and finish on Jardín Street in Curillas. Individual entry includes three published tiers of 35, 45 and 55 euros.
