The Cursa Neandertal de Capellades celebrates its 2026 edition with a wild and demanding character, true to its motto. The races run through the Capellades area, crossing the Anoia river and linking corriols, paths, stretches of track and some sections of tarmac on very mountainous terrain. The distance of 23,5 km and 1.700 m+ reigns supreme and sums up a tough, technical and unexpected race, with emblematic points such as the Cinglera del Capelló, Miramar, the Llobreia, the Tardana or the Turó de l’Avellana. The organisers provide refreshment stations at several points along the route and at the finish, as well as detailed regulations and mandatory equipment to guide participants. It also includes a mini-neandertal and a charitable side with the Premi Neandertal, which reinforces the event’s local atmosphere. The 10 km walk shares the spirit of the event and expands the proposal for those who prefer to enjoy the route at another pace.
