CxM Puigpunyent

La CxM Puigpunyent runs in a loop through the municipality of Puigpunyent, the valley set between the foothills of Puig de Galatzó, on the southern slope of the Serra de Tramuntana. Its 16 kilometres accumulate close to 1,000 metres of elevation gain and another 1,000 metres of descent, linking camins of dry stone, old routes used by charcoal burners, and the holm oak woods that cover the valley slopes. It is organised by the Associació d'Esportistes de Puigpunyent and Galilea Sa Vall with the support of the Town Council, and the event forms part of the Copa Balear de Curses per Muntanya of the Federació Balear de Muntanyisme i Escalada. The start and finish are located in the plaça de l'Ajuntament, and to take part you must have a federative licence or be a resident of the municipality.
