La Burrica Trail

La Burrica Trail will celebrate its sixth edition on 3 October 2026 in María, Almería, with the start and finish scheduled at Plaza de La Encarnación. Club Deportivo Villa de María organises this mountain race, which is included in the X Circuito Provincial de CxM Almería and in the Copa de Travesías Populares de Almería. The routes run along tracks, paths and field sections through the Natural Park Sierra María-Los Vélez. The programme includes a Trail of 25.60 km and 1,510 m of elevation gain, as well as a Minitrail and a walking proposal of 13.88 km and 621 m of elevation gain. The long route climbs to Pico de la Burrica, located at an altitude of 2,045 m. The organisers plan separate starts for the three categories and set the finish line closure at 14:00.
