Medio Kilómetro Vertical El Rosario

The Medio Kilómetro Vertical El Rosario will hold its third edition on 27 September 2026 in Sámano, a locality in Castro Urdiales. The event, organised by the Club Alpino Sámano with the collaboration of the Sámano Local Board and the Town Council of Castro-Urdiales, will close the III Circuito ½ KM Vertical Portus Amanus and will be included in the calendar of the Federación Cántabra de Atletismo as a National II competition. The point-to-point route will start at the UVESCO sports hall, in the Vallegón Industrial Estate, and will finish at Alto de Campo Rivero. Its 2,200 metres of distance and 490 metres of elevation gain will run along tracks and through woodland. The start is scheduled for 11:00; after the finish, participants will return via the uphill track to the bib collection area.
