Trail El Yelmo

The Trail El Yelmo celebrates its 18th edition on 4 October 2026 in Segura de la Sierra, Jaén. The event, organised by the Town Council of Segura de la Sierra with the collaboration of the Club de Atletismo Sierra Segura, proposes mountain routes that climb towards the summit of El Yelmo, located at an altitude of 1,809 metres, before returning to the finish town. The adult programme includes Trail Largo, 27 km and 1,600 m of elevation gain; Trail Corto, 17 km and 800 m of elevation gain; and a Walk format associated with the short course. Start times are scheduled for 9:00 for the long route and 10:00 for the short route and the walk. The route will be marked and will include refreshment stations; the organisers set a 5-hour cut-off and a 3-hour control at the summit.
