Alhama CxM

The Alhama CxM is held in Alhama de Murcia, at the foot of Sierra Espuña, and runs along the slopes of the Muela and the ravines that descend towards the Guadalentín valley. The terrain is classic for the south-east: reforested pine, limestone rock, and stony trails, with an Extreme start at 09:00 and a Sprint start at 09:30; the walking event begins at 08:00. It is organised by the Alhama COYM club and is one of the fixed dates of the Mountaineering Federation of the Region of Murcia, where it hosts the Regional Championship by Clubs: the event therefore has the dual status of championship and a points-scoring round of the regional league. It offers Extreme of 29,5 km and 1145 m of elevation gain, Sprint of 19,5 km and 745 m of elevation gain and Open of 11,2 km and 474 m of elevation gain, as well as a walking event of 19,5 km and 790 m of elevation gain. The start and finish are located in Plaza de la Constitución.
