Cursa de la Guineu

The 20th Cursa de la Guineu is held at night in Vilanova de Bellpuig, with the start and finish at the municipal swimming pools. The route runs along nearby streets and rural tracks close to the town, in a very family-friendly local atmosphere that is accessible for runners of all levels. The event combines two routes of 5 and 10 km with a popular walk, maintaining the festive character of a popular race with services designed to make participation and enjoyment easier. The organisers offer entry for both the race and the walk, an optional T-shirt, a cloakroom and showers at the pool complex. Participants receive a bag with local products and gifts, and both the walk and the 5 km race have an aid station, while the 10 km route has three. At the finish line there are drinks and a light dinner, and the day includes an awards ceremony, ambulance service and the option of a timing chip for the timed sections.
