Itxinan Barrena

Itxinan Barrena is a demanding and technical mountain race that runs through the Itxina massif, within the Gorbea Natural Park. The 2026 edition will be held on 17 October in Orozko, Bizkaia, with the start from Zubiaur Plaza and organised by Itxinape Mendiko Taldea. The event offers 2 trail running routes for adult participants. The long course totals 34 km and 2,000 m of elevation gain, passing through areas such as Kolometa, Aldabide, Arraba and Oderiaga. The short route has 14 km and 800 m of elevation gain, climbs to the menhir of Kurtzegan and returns to Orozko via a long descent.
