Kilómetro Vertical + Carrera Losar de la Vera

The Kilómetro Vertical de Losar de la Vera climbs in a straight line from the El Venero campsite to the Berezo refuge, in the Sierra de Tormantos, overcoming 1,000 metres of elevation gain in just 4.5 kilometres of continuous ascent along the extremeña side of Gredos. It is one of the most explosive climbs on the national calendar and is complemented by a mountain race over a longer course in the same setting. In 2026, the event makes history by debuting as the host venue for the Copa de España de Kilómetro Vertical, as well as staging the Campeonato de Extremadura of the discipline. It is organised by the Town Council of Losar de la Vera in collaboration with the Federación Extremeña de Montaña y Escalada, the Federación Española de Deportes de Montaña y Escalada and the Junta de Extremadura.
