La Batega

La Batega is a trail running event in Planoles, in the Serra de Montgrony, with several distances that share the same mountain atmosphere and an organisation closely rooted in the local area. The event takes place on 23 and 24 May and combines routes over forest paths, corriols and technical sections, with a focus on respect for nature and environmental awareness actions during the weekend. The main race runs through emblematic areas such as Coll Roig, Costa Pubilla, L’Emperadora and Pedra Picada, with a demanding profile and passages above 2,000 metres in the long-distance category. There are also more explosive options and a vertical uphill race with a direct ascent, as well as a children’s race without a timing system. La Batega therefore offers a complete mountain experience, with varied terrain, marked elevation gain and a local atmosphere of a Pyrenean town.
