Marató Collserola

The Marató Collserola is held at Natural Park de Collserola, a large green island in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The start and finish take place at Velòdrom d’Horta, on a circular route of around 42 km with an approximate elevation gain of 1,900 m. The course combines paths, tracks and trails, with checkpoints at places such as Can Borrell, Baixador de Vallvidrera and Vista Rica. It is a demanding but accessible event for mountain runners with a good level of physical fitness, designed to enjoy a very distinctive setting between the Besòs and Llobregat rivers. The organisers opt for a low environmental impact format, with the elimination of plastics and refreshment stations designed so that each participant brings their own bottle. The race forms part of the UEC d’Horta trail tradition in Collserola.
