San Xil Casaio Andaina e Trail

San Xil Casaio Andaina e Trail is a mountain event organised by the CMVMC da Serra de Casaio e Lardeira and Rutas Xanza. Its 5th edition will take place on 26 September 2026 in Casaio, with start, finish and bib collection in the Plaza de la Iglesia. The programme combines trail running and a walk, with long and short route options, along roads and paths on the slopes of Peña Trevinca. The setting brings together high-mountain landscapes, the canyon and the hermitage of San Xil, slate workings and references such as O Teixadal and la Pala de Cabras. The organisers have announced changes to the routes; for the long trail, due to the fires, it returns to the 2024 course via the mines of Valborraz. Online entries remain open until 22 September.
