KV Puigestelup

The KV Puigestelup is a mountain vertical race held in Ogassa, with a start at 10:00 h. The route offers 3,7 km of distance and a elevation gain of 1.000 metres, which points to a short but very demanding effort, focused on continuous uphill running and a pacing strategy for managing the effort. The competition is part of the 16a Copa Catalana de Curses Verticals, within the FEEC mountain running race calendar. Organised by the Unió Excursionista Sant Joan de les Abadesses, it brings together runners used to explosive profiles and steep elevation gains, in an ideal setting for specialists in pure uphill running.
