Pulmón de Acero Trail

Pulmón de Acero Trail will hold its second edition on 27 September 2026 in Barakaldo, Bizkaia. The event runs over the hills and paths in the Barakaldo area, a landscape historically linked to mining activity and now turned into a space for outdoor sport. The event forms part of the Pulmón de Acero project, developed with technical direction from Aire Norte and the support of the Town Council of Barakaldo. The programme features two mountain races with circular routes: the Media Marathon and the Sprint Trail. Both start towards Retuerto and pass over summits and areas such as Goronillo, Argalario, Mendibil and Peña Mora, before returning towards Bengolea and Parque Tellaetxe. The official routes are published as provisional tracks for this edition.
