Trail Nocturno A Cova do Lobo

The Trail Nocturno A Cova do Lobo celebrates its 7th edition on 29 August 2026 in Zas, with the start and finish linked to the Praza do Concello. The event, organised by the Concello de Zas and the A.D. Monte Brondo, is a nocturnal mountain race that runs through the Carballeira de Velar, Monte de Rial, Alto do Monte, Monte Brondo and Monte Castro. The regulations present it as an experience to get to know the mountains at night. The adult programme includes a nocturnal trail of approximately 16 km and 700 m+ elevation gain, and a nocturnal andaina of approximately 11 km and 400 m+ elevation gain. Both starts take place on Saturday: the andaina at 21:00 and the trail at 21:30. The organisers require a headtorch and a mobile phone with battery, and place refreshment stations along the routes and at the end of the day at the Zas sports hall.
