VertiKalm

La VertiKalm is a 1-kilometre vertical race to Puigsacalm that starts in Sant Privat de Bas and finishes at the summit of Puigsacalm, within a route of less than 5 km that is fully marked out. The event combines track, trails and very demanding sections along the Camí dels Matxos and the channel of the Grau de les Eugues, passing through oak woods, beech woods and boxwood stands until reaching a privileged viewpoint over the Vall d’en Bas, Olot and much of the Pyrenees and the Pre-Pyrenees. The organisers link the fixture to a charity day and to the Copa Catalana de Curses Verticals, and also propose timing the ascent with the OTR app to compare times between participants. The route includes a clearly defined intermediate control point and a clearly defined start and finish point, so it is useful for those looking for an intense but very clear experience in its format.
