Trail Afuega'l Pitu

The Trail Afuega'l Pitu celebrates its XIV edition on 24 January 2027 in La Foz de Morcín, an Asturian village that gives its name to the well-known cheese, with start and finish in Parque de La Foz. Organised by the Club Deportivo Corriendoxmorcín, the event covers 11 kilometres that climb via Comuñes and the Otura path up to the Mayau de les Capilles to crown Monsacro, and descend via its north face towards La Cobarriella and the Braña de los Toros. Participation is limited to 400 runners, with an entry fee of 21 euros for non-affiliated athletes. Each participant receives a bag with solid and liquid refreshments and a commemorative item, and there are refreshment stations at the Mayau de les Capilles and at the finish. The maximum time is 3 hours and 35 minutes, and there is a local classification for Morcín and Riosa.
