Trail de la Contraviesa

The Trail de la Contraviesa will celebrate its sixth edition on 18 October 2026 in Albuñol, with the start and finish in Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The event, organised by the Town Council of Albuñol and included in the Diputación de Granada’s Circuit of Mountain Races, runs through places in the Sierra de la Contraviesa between the municipalities of Albuñol and Sorvilán. The programme brings together the Trail de la Contraviesa, 25 km and 1,200 m of elevation gain, and the Mini Trail Ruta del Gato and Walk Ruta del Gato formats, both 12 km and 600 m. The walk is non-competitive; the trail and minitrail events have rankings and categories. The organisers set a maximum of 300 participants per format.
